Limiting beliefs

The Habit of limiting beliefs is when one dwells on all the things you cannot do, instead of focusing and believing in the things you can!

It is a well known fact that the mind is a very powerful tool.  More and more today, people all over the world and in various different ways are breaking mental barriers.  The only way to get past your mental barriers is to discover your strengths and build on those.

As human beings we set ourselves up for failure by focusing on our cracks and flaws instead of our strengths.  You have a magic inside you.  Everybody does!  It is the ability to find that magic and break down those mental barriers to discover your strengths and become the champion that you know you can be.

Bear Grylls is an ex army guy who has become famous for his programs on the ability of the human mind to overcome mental barriers and survive the most extreme circumstances.  He now has camps that people are clamoring to attend.  He teaches his students to break down all mental barriers that limit you into thinking that you cannot achieve something.  He is famous for uttering the words ‘dig deep’ to his willing students when the going gets tough.  Find the magic inside you and you will discover your strengths and the power to overcome the seemingly impossible.

Breaking mental barriers is key to achieving success.  When you limit yourself into thinking that you can only achieve so much, it frustrates the path to success.  Once you have mastered the ability to breaking mental barriers your horizon is limitless!

Too often we focus on the wrong things.  We tend to overplay a weakness to the point that we tell ourselves that the task we have set is impossible.  Limiting our outlook will choke our abilities to reach for the stars.  There is a magic inside you just waiting to be set free.  Do not limit yourself. Rather, discover your strengths and place your focus there.

Do not let others discourage your belief in yourself.  Think of the story of the water bearer.  Every day he carries his two pots of water to his master and every day when he arrives one pot is full and the other half empty.  The half empty pot is cracked.  This pot feels sad that he is letting his master down every day and says as much to his young master.  The young master replies that when they next take water, the cracked pot must take note of the lovely flowers on the path to the master’s door.  The cracked pot sees the beautiful flowers but is still not satisfied that he is spilling so much water. The young master then explains to him that because of his cracks and the water leaking out, he planted some seed on the side of the path.  The leaking water has watered the seeds every day and they are now beautiful flowers.  This would not have happened had the pot not been cracked.

The moral of this story is that you need to break the mental barriers and find the magic inside you and then once you have discovered your strengths you can climb any mountain.

Forget about the cracks.  Rather, seek out the strengths and concentrate on those.  If you can break through your mental barriers and stop limiting your thinking, you can accomplish so much more.

Limiting beliefs means you can never grow and flourish.  You will always just remain mediocre.  Push yourself.  Extend your limits and once you have broken down one barrier, the rest will tumble with ease.  The magic inside you is just waiting to break free.  Do not limit yourself into thinking that the task is an impossible one.  Get out of your comfort zone.  Once you have broken down all those mental barriers you will amaze yourself at what you can accomplish and survive.
