Carpe diem I live this day as if it is my last

Carpe diem, I live this day as if it is my last. And what shall I do with this last precious day? First of all I will not waste any time moaning or weeping over yesterday’s misfortunes, yesterday’s defeats or yesterday’s heartaches. Why throw good after bad when it is far better to bury the woes of yesterday and to think of it no more.

Carpe diem,I live this day as if it is my last. And, just as I have forgotten yesterday, so shall I not waste time thinking about tomorrow. Far better to focus on the present than to concern myself with events that might not even take place at some or other time in the future. The future is not ours to see, so it is best that I should not worry about problems that may never come to pass. Just as yesterday lies buried, so too does tomorrow lie and I will think of it no more.

Carpe diem, I live this day as if it is my last. This day is all I have. I will rejoice in the sunrise, happy in the knowledge that I have been granted this one extra day. Perhaps I have been granted this day because it may well be the day I will excel in my chosen field. After all, there must be a reason that I have been allowed to live this extra day, when others far better than I have not been so lucky. Is it that they have accomplished their purpose, while mine is yet to be achieved? Is this another opportunity for me to become the individual I know I can be? (Og Mandino)

Carpe diem I live this day as if it is my lastCarpe diem, I live this day as if it is my last. I cherish each and every hour, each and every minute of this precious day for I can never return to it once it is gone. Realising the value in every minute of this day I grasp it with both hands and hold on tightly. Time is something no man can purchase. No matter how rich I may be, I will never have enough money to buy myself another breath when my time is up. This is why I must not waste even a second of this precious day.

Carpe diem, I live this day as if it is my last. I look at what factors could possibly kill my time and I avoid them like the plague. I fight procrastination with action. I bury my self-doubt by cultivating faith in myself and in my abilities. Instead of going out with fear and trepidation, I set forth with confidence. I will not waste my time on idle thoughts or non-action as that is what will steal the food, clothing and shelter from those I love. Instead of being an thief, I will demonstrate my love and prove my greatness to all.

Carpe diem, I live this day as if it is my last. I will not put off until tomorrow the duties that I need to fulfil today. Today I will hug and kiss my wife and my children. They may be young today, but tomorrow they will be gone and so will I. Today I help a loved one or friend in need so that they no longer need to cry for help and I will not have to hear his cries. Today, I sacrifice myself to my work.

Carpe diem I live this day as if it is my lastCarpe diem, I live this day as if it is my last. If this day is to be my last, I will make sure to make it my greatest monument. I will seize the day. This day will be the best day of my life. “I make every hour count and each minute I trade only for something of value. I make more calls than ever before. I sell more goods than ever before. Each minute of today is more fruitful than hours of yesterday. My last must be my best.

Carpe diem, I live this day as if it is my last. And if it is not, I shall fall on my knees and give thanks.” (Og Mandino)

Carpe Diem, I Live this day as if it is my last: Quotes

  • “Never again clutter your days or nights with so many menial and unimportant things that you have no time to accept a real challenge when it comes along. This applies to play as well as work. A day merely survived is no cause for celebration. You are not here to fritter away your precious hours when you have the ability to accomplish so much by making a slight change in your routine. No more busy work. No more hiding from success. Leave time, leave space, to grow. Now. Now! Not tomorrow!” – Og Mandino
  • “Realize that true happiness lies within you. Waste no time and effort searching for peace and contentment and joy in the world outside. Remember that there is no happiness in having or in getting, but only in giving. Reach out. Share. Smile. Hug. Happiness is a perfume you cannot pour on others without getting a few drops on yourself.” – Og Mandino
  • “Sound character provides the power with which a person may ride the emergencies of life instead of being overwhelmed by them. Failure is… the highway to success.” – Og Mandino
  • “Take the attitude of a student, never be too big to ask questions, never know too much to learn something new.” – Og Mandino
  • “The person who knows one thing and does it better than anyone else, even if it only be the art of raising lentils, receives the crown he merits. If he raises all his energy to that end, he is a benefactor of mankind and its rewarded as such.” – Og Mandino
